The Kenya Kwanza government promised to leverage the financial support that will be provided to the boda boda sector through the Hustler Fund to develop the nascent EV motorcycle assembly industry
The government implemented several measures and tax incentives to promote the adoption of electric motorcycles, with key taxes on electric motorcycles and their parts reduced. The government also launched an e-mobility programme on 1st September 2023.
