The Kenya Kwanza manifesto included a promise to support scaling up of clean cooking technologies. However, on the 3rd of July 2023, the President lifted the moratorium on logging that had been put in place for six years. Lifting this moratorium contradicts the President’s promise to support the scaling up of clean cooking technologies.
