Increasing diaspora remittances to strengthen Kenyan shilling.

• On 10th December, 2023 the president of Kenya promised that the exchange rate against the dollar would improve as those leaving the country would send back dollars which will in turn ensure that the exchange rate stabilizes.

There is no public record showing a steady improvement of the shilling against the dollar. Nonetheless, it has recently been reported that the exchange rate has improved in the recent past.
