Transfer of functions to counties

The Kenya Kwanza government vowed to complete the transfer of all functions constitutionally earmarked as devolved functions to counties.

On 22nd January, 2024, the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee expected the completion of the transfer of all remaining devolved functions as stipulated under the Constitution in a month’s time.
