Have 50% of the Cabinet held by women

The Kenya Kwanza government, led by President Ruto, signed a women’s charter detailing policy interventions that his government will put in place to ensure inclusion in his government, that they would take up 50 per cent of his Cabinet and be the face of the Kenya Kwanza government.

• The promise has, however, not been kept as only 7 out of 20 Cabinet Secretaries and 12 out of 51 Principal Secretaries are women.
