Inua Jamii funds

The Kenya Kwanza government committed to increasing the Inua Jamii funds(the social protection cash transfer for the vulnerable) from KSh 3.52 billion to KSh 15 billion over three years, as well as increasing the number of beneficiaries of the programme.The disbursement will be done on a monthly basis.

• The Government has been disbursing funds for the Inua Jamii programme, but has not fully met the 2.5 million target of the beneficiaries of the programme, among other systemic issues with the programme’s rollout.
