Development Projects in Wajir

In June 2026, the President committed KSh 15.6 billion towards the construction of 18 modern markets, 2000-bed student hostels, and 4600 affordable housing units to improve the lives of the Wajir residents.

Despite the announcement, there is no public record of the promise being acted upon as at 21st August 2026.
