TVETs in all Constituencies

The Kenya Kwanza Government promised that it would establish fully equipped Technical Training and Vocational Education Training Institutions (TVETs) in the remaining 52 constituencies within the first two years.

  • The promise to establish fully equipped TVET institutions in the remaining 52 constituencies within the first two years has not been fully met with reports indicating a plan to build facilities in 38 unserved constituencies.
  •  While the initial “two-year” window has passed, the Ministry of Education now targets 2030 for its long-term goal of having at least one fully functional national polytechnic in every county and a well-equipped TVET in every constituency.
