Promoting the Kenyan brand and appoint brand ambassadors

The Kenya Kwanza government promised to promote the Kenyan brand and appoint brand ambassadors who will market Kenyan services and products and equally increase the global market share of these services and products.

The president nominated and redeployed ambassadors, high commissioners, and consuls general in August 2025 and again in October 2025, with a focus on enhancing service delivery and optimizing performance in the Foreign Service.
Kenyan athlete Faith Kipyegon has been named the Magical Kenya brand ambassador in support of the Kenya tourism brand. Dennis Oliech, a former Harambee Stars striker, was appointed as the Kenya brand ambassador for the CHAN 2024 tournament.
Reported challenges include ensuring that newly appointed diplomats proactively protect and advance Kenyan interests. Furthermore, the vetting of ambassadorial nominees by the National Assembly Committee on Defence, Intelligence, and Foreign Relations continued in September 2025.
