Opening County offices for the ORPP

The Kenya Kwanza government promised to open county offices of The Office of Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) in every county to ensure easy access to all its services.

Significant progress has been made with the establishment of 12 regional/county offices across the country, expanding the ORPP’s reach beyond its headquarters. This includes new offices launched in 2024 and 2025 in areas like Garissa, Malindi, Laikipia, Bungoma, and Kitale. To enhance accessibility, the ORPP has also leveraged digital tools like a mobile USSD service and online portals.
However, several challenges persist, including limited financial resources, a remaining geographical gap with offices not yet present in all 47 counties, and the digital divide that limits access to online services for some citizens.
