Circular Economy Waste Separation Sites/Infrastructure

The Kenya Kwanza government promised to provide “circular economy” waste separation sites/infrastructure.

While the government has taken measures towards sustainable waste management (for instance, through the enactment of the Sustainable Waste management (Extended Producer Responsibility)The Kenya Regulations, 2024 and the planned waste to energy plant in Dandora), as at August 2026, there is no publicly available data demonstrating the establishment of the waste separation sites and infrastructure as promised.
