Kenya Kwanza promised to establish 5 million acres (20,000 km2) of agroforestry woodlots in drylands.
The government has launched a 10-year strategy for agroforestry that includes establishing 5 million acres of woodlots in drylands by 2035.
The government unveiled the Kenya Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Monitoring Framework (FLRMF) to track implementation and ensure accountability.
The government has also secured funding through the World Bank-supported Kenya Water and Sanitation Improvement Project (KEWASIP), which includes components for sustainable land management and agroforestry in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands
