Inua Jamii Funds

On 4th April 2023, the President of Kenya promised that the government would start disbursing Inua Jamii social protection funds.

On 2nd January 2024, the government released ksh.2 billion Inua Jamii Cash to over one million beneficiaries.
On 7th August 2025, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, through the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs, released Ksh. 4,607,668,000 for payment to 1,151,917 Older Persons and Persons Living With Severe Disabilities enrolled in the Ina Jami Program.
Further, on 30th April 2026, the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs disbursed KSh2.4 billion to approximately 1.2 million Kenyans, including senior citizens and persons living with disabilities, under the Inua Jamii program.
