Scholarships to victims of botched Finland programme.
On 15th August, 2023, the President of Kenya promised to provide scholarships (bursaries) to students who were affected by the failed Finland scholarship program.
There is no public record of scholarships being provided to students who were affected by the Finland scholarship program. News reports from 15th May 2025 indicate that the affected students and parents were yet to be compensated. Most of the families have opted to go to court in attempts of getting back the money they lost to the scandal.
In July 2026, parents and the students affected by the saga took to the streets of Eldoret to protest, demanding a refund of their money to explore other alternatives, indicating nothing has since been done to help victims of the saga that had ensued.
