Kenyans to transact with biometrics

On 30th October 2023, the President of Kenya promised Kenyans that they would transact using their Iris & Fingerprints.

The court has announced the suspension of the registration of individuals and the issuance of new generation IDs. Further, a lot of concerns have been raised on this promise, including adherence to various rights (Right to Privacy) and other safety concerns.
