On 1st September, 2023, President Ruto promises to complete all unfinished stadiums nationwide.

Ministry of Sports unveiled plans to revamp three stadiums to meet international standards including Kasarani Stadium, Nyayo Stadium, and Kipchoge Keino Stadium (Eldoret) respectively ahead of AFCON 2027
