Complete All Roads Under Construction

The Kenya Kwanza government promised to complete all roads under construction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • On 30th April 2023, President William Ruto launched four multi-billion shilling road projects that will cover Kajiado, Bomet, Kakamega, Nandi and Uasin Gishu Counties cumulatively costing more than Sh 10.7 billion.
  • In July 2023, the government began the construction of the 478-kilometer Lake Victoria ring road which connects counties sharing the lake. Sub-South legislator Caroli Omondi said the road will transform the economy of the region as it will open up tourism and regional trade.
  • The Kenya Rural Roads Authority has also called for contractors for a total of 627 proposed projects. A list of completed and uncompleted road projects is available for tracking.
