Jobs in the US, Germany and Canada for the Kisii residents.

On 22nd July 2023, the President promised jobs in US, Germany and Canada to Kisii residents and the establishment of ICT hubs to enable online jobs for the Kisii youth.

  • On 16th March 2024, President Ruto announced deal with America, Germany and France for online jobs. Later in January 2025, Kisii polytechnic reportedly hosted international job recruitment drive.
  • In January 2026, talks between Kenya and Germany were held in Germany on labour mobility, seeking to align Kenya’s growing skilled professionals with Germany’s labour market needs as part of a broader bilateral migration and human resource development framework.
  • Moreover, in February 2026, Kenya and France have held discissions strengthening a forward-looking partnership that is focused on unlocking opportunities for Africa’s future, especially for its youth. Following the visit, the two nations entered a new era of bilateral relations, transitioning from a traditional aid-based model to a sustainable strategic partnership driven by investment, co-creation and reciprocity.
  • However none of these meetings have been held to specifically discuss these opportunities in relation to the Kisii Youth, they are general discussions.
