Implementation of a Digital Master Plan

The Kenya Kwanza government promised that the implementation of the Digital Master Plan will adhere to environmental agreements in which Kenya is a signatory.

The Kenya Digital Master Plan encompasses environmental protection and conservation in its provisions.
On March 3/ 2026 Kenya was set to receive $390 million (approximately Ksh.50.3 billion) from the World Bank over the next three years to upgrade its digital infrastructure.
Kenya has made progress towards implementing the National Digital Master Plan through the US$390 million World Bank-funded Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP). However, implementation remains incomplete due to challenges.
