Game park revenue share to counties

On 23rd August 2023, the President promised 50 percent share of the game park revenue to host counties, among other natural resources.

On 11th December 2025, President Ruto publicly stated that the revenue from Tsavo National Park will not be shared as it is allegedly too little. This followed after numerous stalls on the implementation of the promise.
There are no public records of the government sharing 50% of the game park and natural resources revenue with host counties.
