Annual State of the Nation Forum

The Kenya Kwanza Government promised to hold an Annual State of the Nation Forum as an extension of the country-wide consultative economic forums that had been a core component of its campaign, as a platform for dialogue whose recommendations would inform the State of the Nation Address to Parliament, and to include appropriate monitoring and evaluation mechanisms as required by Article 132(1)(c) of the Constitution.

  • While the president has been issuing state of the nation addresses at the end of every year, there is no public record of the annual state of the nation forum.
