Provide insurance cover for loss of life for officers on duty (similar to that of the military).
Although the government has mandated the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) to insure public servants, including police officers, the families of those who have died or been injured in the line of duty do not know when they will be compensated.
There is no public record showing implementation of the promise yet.
