Transparency and accountability of the electricity sector.

The Kenya Kwanza government pledged to enforce transparency and public accountability of the electricity sector and put requirements for the Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) to publish quarterly system, financial and operational performance reports.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority released the bi-annual energy and petroleum statistics report for FY2023/24 and the financial statements for FY ended 2025. However, quarterly reports have not yet been released as promised.
