Financial independence to EACC and the Police

The Kenya Kwanza Government promised to grant financial independence to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the police to end their reliance on the Office of the President.

The National Police Service now has its own budgeting line, and has increased independence in budgeting. However, there is no record of a gazette notice, budget reform, or legislative change establishing EACC as financially autonomous from the Executive.
