Financial independence to EACC and the Police

The Kenya Kwanza Government promised to grant financial independence to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the police to end their reliance on the Office of the President.

In September 2022, the president signed an executive order granting the National Police Service financial autonomy.
There is, however, no public record of the implementation of the promise of granting financial independence to the EACC.
