The Kenya Kwanza Government promised to establish a diaspora forum that will review the progress of national government services to the diaspora and make the necessary recommendations.
October 2023: The PS Diaspora Affairs conducted the diaspora engagement forums in various countries, namely, Canada and Germany.
A new Diaspora Bill is currently under development (as of mid-2025) to formalize these review processes into law, protecting diaspora property rights and enhancing their electoral participation.
