Return Kenya to International Football

The Kenya Kwanza government made a commitment to return Kenya to international football.

In September 2023, Kenya, together with Uganda and Tanzania, successfully secured the bid to host the prestigious 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The hosts, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, would automatically qualify for the 2027 edition of AFCON.
The proposed hosts of AFCON (Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania) successfully hosted the CHAN 2025.
