Equipping the Attorney General’s office

The Kenya Kwanza government promised to equip the Attorney-General’s office with the resources and ability it needs to safeguard the public interest in court, legislating, negotiating international agreements, and signing contracts. This is in a bid to avoid needless litigation and costly fines.

• The government has allocated more resources(more staff, offices and vehicles) and is trying to formalize mandates to the Attorney General’s office, but avoiding costly litigation through proactive legal management, which was the core intent, has still not been achieved.
